In October, we had the incredible honor of receiving the Ellerston Innovation Award from the American Society of Emergency Contraception. This recognition celebrates the work we're doing here in Missouri, work that culminated in a bold initiative at an Olivia Rodrigo concert in St. Louis this past March, where we distributed emergency contraception to concert-goers. This event sparked a local movement and captured national media attention, highlighting the importance of accessible EC resources.
Right By You director Stephanie Kraft Sheley, told The Guardian:
It fills my heart with so much joy and gratitude to Olivia, and it shows how well-received it will be when other artists step up and do this. I hope they follow this example.
At the recent EC Jamboree in Washington, DC, we shared our story and our vision with fellow advocates. Together, we discussed how essential it is for all individuals to have control over their reproductive lives, especially in a state like Missouri, where access to reproductive healthcare has been heavily restricted.
Learning From Experts
Beyond celebrating our achievements, the EC Jamboree was also a time to learn and grow. We returned to Missouri not only with an award but also with fresh perspectives and new ideas about the future of EC accessibility. As we look ahead we're committed to innovating and finding even more ways to empower those we help.
This award is not just a recognition of our past efforts but a reminder of the resilience and courage it takes to stand for accessible reproductive healthcare. We are proud to be here and the courage it takes to stand for accessible reproductive healthcare. We are proud to be here for the Missourians, especially for the young people who are navigating an uncertain landscape in reproductive health.
Thank you to the American Society of Emergency Contraception for this honor, and thank you to every person who has supported our mission. Together, we're working toward a future where reproductive autonomy is a reality for all.
